Frequently Asked Questions

How does UTM tracking work?
UTM tracking adds special parameters to your product URL so you can see exactly when someone visits from your QR code. In Google Analytics, go to Acquisition → Traffic acquisition and filter by "qr-loyalty" (or your custom UTM source) to see all QR code scans. You'll see how many people scanned, which ones converted to sales, and total revenue from QR codes. Most e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) also show UTM data in their analytics dashboards.
Can I track different QR codes separately?
Yes! Use different UTM Campaign names for each QR code location. For example: "receipt-qr" for QR codes on receipts, "flyer-qr" for marketing flyers, "social-qr" for social media posts. You can also use customer names - they're automatically added to utm_content so you can track individual customer cards. This lets you see which locations drive the most scans and sales.
How does the QR code link to my product?
Enter your product or store URL in the "Product/Store URL" field. When you generate a QR code, you can choose to have it redirect directly to your store (recommended) or show the loyalty card first with a "Buy Now" button. Most businesses prefer the direct redirect for maximum conversion.
Can customers track their own progress?
Yes! When customers scan the QR code or save the link, they can see their current progress in real-time. The card shows how many stamps they've earned, their progress percentage, and how many more purchases they need for their reward. You control adding stamps after verified purchases.
How do I verify purchases before adding stamps?
Use your existing order confirmation system to verify purchases. When a customer completes a purchase, you manually add a stamp to their card in the "Customer Management" section. For automated tracking, integrate this with your e-commerce platform or POS system using webhooks or API connections.
Where should I display the QR code?
Print QR codes on receipts, packaging inserts, business cards, table tents, checkout counters, or email confirmations. You can also display them on your website, social media profiles, or in-store signage. The more places customers see it, the higher your enrollment rate.
Can I export customer data for marketing?
Yes! Click "Export Data" to download a CSV file with customer names, progress, completion status, and timestamps. Use this for email marketing campaigns, targeted promotions for customers close to earning rewards, or analyzing your most loyal customers. Always follow data privacy laws and get proper consent.
What happens when a customer completes their card?
When all stamps are filled, the card moves to the "Rewards Claimed" tab and shows "Reward Ready" status. Honor the reward, then either reset the card to start a new cycle or create a fresh card. Consider offering a bonus for starting their second card to maintain momentum.
Is the data stored securely?
Data is saved in your browser's local storage. It persists on the same device and browser but isn't transmitted to servers. For production use with multiple staff members or locations, implement a backend database with proper security, encryption, and access controls. Always comply with data protection regulations.
Can I customize the card design and branding?
Choose from 6 color schemes and customize the business name, reward description, and number of stamps. For full branding control with logos, custom colors, and fonts, copy the code and modify the CSS. You can also add your logo image or brand elements to the card template.
